Witches Series

The otherwise sleepy pacific-northwestern town of Crestwood is a hotbed of Magical activity. The troupe of witches  are the guardians of the town, each other, and the secret of the world of witchcraft.

Some notes about my series. Each character (besides Trenton) represents a different struggle with Mental Illness. Every issue save PTSD is something I deal with everyday. There are no stereotypical characteristics or second-hand accounts; I write what I know. Trenton's story is one of Pansexuality, as a way to dive into what exactly that means. Once again, my own identity.

I also enjoy including queer themes into them (once again without stereotypes), even in the few romantic sub-plots I do have. Trenton is Pansexual, Atom is Asexual/Aromantic and Luna is Lesbian.

Lastly the difference between my world of magic, and that of other authors.
There are no memorization techniques, no Latin to translate, no 'mastery' of spells. The casting is all about intention and emotional/mental calm. If a witch is not in control of either, their spells can misfire, backfire, or simply not come to fruition. Each witch has a unique gem to which they practice with; when they are of sound ability, they put the spells into it to draw upon when they are under stress. The final difference is that there are 10 disciplines of magic; and no two witches who practice the same skill can be near each other without conflict. Nor can a witch cast spells that are not in their discipline, e.g. A light witch can't cast dark spells, an elemental can't shape-shift...etc.
